Dear colleagues, friends, and like-minded people!
I congratulate you on National Unity Day!
For me, this holiday is not simply a date on the calendar, but a reminder of how important it is to hold to shared meanings and to respect each person’s path. In our profession — in psychology, in working with people — unity shows itself in a particularly subtle way: it is the ability to listen without invalidating, to support without imposing, and to unite without erasing individuality.
Ethics in our work is that very “bond” which allows us to be together and still remain considerate of one another. When we maintain boundaries, keep our word, and speak honestly and with respect, we create a space in which it becomes a little easier for a person to breathe. And in this lies our strength as a community.
On this day I want to thank everyone who makes the INPEO living and real: for your sensitivity, for your work, and for your readiness to hold to professional standards even in the most difficult situations. Thank you that we are a team that can be different and, at the same time, united in what matters most.
May our unity be not about “sameness”, but about the ability to value differences and to work for the common good. I wish that respect, responsibility, and humanity remain in every professional step you take — it is these that make our work truly needed.
Happy holiday!
